I’m at Berklee, which means odd practice hours and a cello that comes everywhere with me. Not every roommate is thrilled about scales at 11pm, so finding the right housemates mattered as much as the room itself.
Finding my people
On Dwll I could actually read about who I’d be living with before moving in. I ended up in the Fenway with two other music students — we get each other’s schedules, and nobody blinks at a late-night rehearsal.
Moving from Milan, I was bracing for the housing search to be the stressful part. Instead it turned into how I found my little Boston family.
